Google Sites are pushing for old site styles, like ours, to be replaced with their, modern standard. Because of this, and the limitations the new site brings, as webmaster, I have been working on a new site. This will give us limitless possibilities, including, on line members only area, full online Newsletter in booklet format, no limit to photo galleries, direct links to common sites for ham radio operation, video presentations online etc; etc: I will be posting a link to the site HERE shortly while I finalise development for you to have a browse. In the meantime please continue to come here for your updates. ************************ NEWS UPDATES. Great showing in the 80/40 AFS Data on Sun 10th with 6 members taking part and putting in good scores. Dont forget the SSB leg coming up on Sat the 16th 13-00 to 17-00. ................. CONGRATULATIONS Today we are advised that CRA has gained 4th place in the Autumn Series. This is the highest we have ever achieved and a credit to all who helped along the way. WELL DONE. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::;: Virtual club Skype meeting December. Dont forget this months meeting. 1st half will be Kevan 2E0WMG & 2nd half will be David DeLa Haye from the RSGB. ON SKYPE AS USUAL SO PLEASE LOG IN ==================== ====================== ========================= IMPORTANT INFORMATION for future DX nets we will also be using 145.350 + or - as a net information frequency. The reasoning behind this is as follows below. On 20 metres and possibly other frequencies that will be used, it will often be probable that participating stations will not be able to hear net control, but could well hear the DX station. If this were to be the case then that particular station could be advised on 145.350 when it is his or her turn. INFO 26/3/20 As from Monday March 30th, there will be two new weekly nets, both on 145.350. Monday at 14:00 Friday at 10:00, both will carry on as long as people stay on but 16:00 on Monday and 12:00 on Friday would be the cut off time. ****************** The Thursday 80m net will now run every week until further notice. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: CRA HUB GROUP Many people are either cautious or suspicious of social media and therefore avoid it at all costs. The disadvantage of that is the exclusion of information that should, and could be easily accessible to all. To that end Garry & Mark have set up a groups.io, club members only, group where members can post topics and messages that can be seen by members only. Please click on this link to gain access to the group wher the CW message and link to the CW advice download is available. 73 Garry M0MGP & Mark M0LTG Good to see members signing up to the .io hub, welcome to you all. CLUB CONTESTS Please contact Garry, Mark or Herbie if you need any help setting up logging or would just like to have a go but not sure how. <<<<<< >>>>>> NEWSLETTER Mark is looking for articles and news items so if you're a builder, techie or just have something of interest why not drop him a mail here. ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ | ![]()
