The Colchester Radio Amateur club owns an library of amateur radio equipment, which is available for loan to any of its members.

The ability to borrow equipment is great for newly licensed amateurs as well as experienced operators because it enables members to try out equipment before making a purchase, or simply to borrow items to use with their own kit so that they can operate on a different band or mode, or for a specific competition or event.

Equipment available for short term loan includes:

	HF and VHF transceivers,
	HF and VHF antennas (co-linear/beams/dipoles),
	Power supplies,
	Co-ax cables,
	Soldering irons ,
	Filters,
	SWR meters ,
	ATUs,
	A morse tutor,
	Linear amplifiers,
	An antenna analyser,
	A large back catalogue of Rad-Com magazines.
